Saya ambil bolpoin dari saku depan. Buku tamu saya isi. Lalu buku tamu saya haturkan kembali kepada satpam.
“Nuwun sewu, Pak, saya baru kali ini ke SMK 10, ruangan Pak Ardan sebelah mana, nggih?”
“Silakan masuk lobi, lalu sebelah kiri ada pintu pertama, masuk melalui pintu itu!”
“Baik, matur nuwun, Pak.”
Saya dan teman-teman bergegas mengikuti arahan satpam. Beberapa saat kemudian, Pak Ardan menyambut kami di lobi. Beliau lalu mempersilakan kami masuk ke ruang Kepala Sekolah.
Kami berempat—saya, Pak Adhit, Pak Aruf, dan Bu Wiwik—duduk sederet. Ada dua kursi: kursi panjang dan kursi pendek. Kursi panjang memuat tiga orang dan kursi pendek diduduki Bu Wiwik.
Pak Ardan menyapa kami beberapa saat. Lalu beliau mempertegas bantuan apa yang kami butuhkan. Setelah kami sampaikan, Pak Ardan mengajak pindah ruangan.
“Kita ke ruang meeting saja. Di sana ada LCD proyektor,” tegas Pak Ardan.
Kami mengikuti langkah Pak Ardan. Ruang meeting berdekatan dengan ruang Kepala Sekolah. Kami masuk ruang tersebut. Satu meja oval yang sangat besar tertata di tengah ruangan. Di sekelilingnya tersedia cukup banyak kursi. Kami duduk di kursi yang berdekatan dengan kursi yang ditempati Pak Ardan. Saya buka laptop dan menghubungkannya dengan LCD proyektor.
Pak Ardan mulai menyampaikan paparan dan petunjuk bantuan. Kami menyimak dan melakukan yang diminta Pak Ardan. Tidak ada 5 menit, Pak Ardan sudah menjawab dan menjelaskan apa yang kami butuhkan. Tetapi beliau memberi kesempatan kepada kami, barangkali masih ada yang hendak ditanyakan. Ternyata teman-teman sangat antusias. Mereka memanfaatkan kesempatan tersebut dengan menggali banyak hal dari Pak Ardan. Saking senangnya melihat semangat teman-teman, saya jadi takut menghentikan pembicaraan. Namun, kebetulan itu hari Jumat dan sudah pukul 11.35. Saya harus tahu diri. Saya beranikan diri untuk menghentikan pembicaraan.
Ya, Jumat (26/01/2024) itu kami mendapat banyak ilmu dan inspirasi dari Pak Ardan—Kepala SMK Negeri 10 Semarang.
Semula saya sempat minder. Saya dari sekolah baru lahir (tahun ke-3 berjalan), sedangkan Pak Ardan memimpin sekolah yang sudah sangat berpengalaman. Saya belum genap 3 tahun ditugasi sebagai kepala sekolah, sedangkan Pak Ardan sudah 6 tahun menjadi kepala sekolah—4 tahun di SMKN Satu Atap Tuntang, setelah itu bertugas di SMKN 10 Semarang.
Apalagi kalau bicara soal prestasi. Walaupun hanya 4 tahun sebagai kepala sekolah, Pak Ardan berhasil membawa perubahan yang signifikan di SMKN Satu Atap Tuntang. Beliau memperbaiki infrastruktur sekolah, meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran, serta mengembangkan program-program inovatif yang mendukung kemajuan sekolah. Pak Ardan berhasil membuat SMKN Satu Atap Tuntang menjadi salah satu sekolah yang menjadi rujukan dan diakui kualitasnya oleh pihak terkait. Lebih dari 50 instansi telah melakukan kunjungan studi tiru ke SMKN Satu Atap Tuntang.
Pak Ardan telah meraih prestasi yang sangat banyak, sedangkan saya?
Meskipun dengan keadaan begitu, kami tetap diterima dengan sangat baik. Kami disambut dan diperlakukan dengan sangat ramah dan penuh persahabatan. Saya sangat merasakan sikap rendah hati beliau.
