Libur akhir tahun ajaran telah usai. Anak-anak kembali masuk sekolah sejak Senin, 17 Juli 2023. Pekan pertama diisi kegiatan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS). Kegiatan belajar mengajar belum efektif.
Di sekolah kami, SD Islam Hidayatullah (SDIH) 02 Semarang, MPLS tidak hanya diperuntukkan bagi murid-murid baru kelas 1. Murid-murid lama pun tidak luput jadi sasaran. Tujuannya menguatkan kembali pembiasaan budaya sekolah. Maklum, liburan panjang berpotensi melunturkan kebiasaan positif anak-anak yang sebelumnya sudah terbina di sekolah.
Valda sebaliknya. Murid kelas 2 ini justru merasa kehilangan kebiasaan baik di awal tahun kedua bersekolah.
“Ini mau salat apa?” Tanya Valda ketika kami sedang bersiap untuk salat Zuhur berjemaah.
Saya terperangah. Batin saya: Anak ini bagaimana? Tidak tahu waktu atau lupa nama-nama salat?
“Ini mau salat Zuhur, Valda,” jawab saya.
“Kok tidak Duha?” tanyanya kemudian.
Astagfirullah! Terlalu dangkal daya tangkap saya. Ternyata pertanyaan Valda itu ungkapan protes. Selama di kelas 1, setiap hari Valda dan kawan-kawan melaksanakan salat Duha di Sekolah. Salat sunnah itu dijadwalkan pada jam istirahat pertama.
Akhirnya saya jawab pertanyaan Valda dengan nada ragu, “Mungkin Duhanya besok, Valda. Hari ini belum ada jadwal salat Duha bersama.”
Sebenarnya, target utamanya bukan pembiasaan salat Duha. Salat munfarid yang dikerjakan secara bersama-sama itu lebih berorientasi pada standardisasi kaifiah salat. Gerakan, bacaan, dan sikap selama salat menjadi fokus pembinaan dan pembimbingan.
Kalau ada anak yang jadi ketagihan salat Duha seperti Valda, itu bonus yang amat menggembirakan. Tentu kami wajib mensyukurinya.
Saya jadi ingat pertanyaan Valda sebelumnya. Hari ke-2 MPLS, materinya prosedur menata peralatan di dalam tas. Bu Amik memberikan brifing di depan kelas. Bersama Bu Shoffa dan Ustazah Layla, saya mengondisikan dan mendampingi anak-anak. Gadis mungil yang duduk di dekat tempat saya berdiri itu memanggil saya.
“Ustaz Aruf, hari ini kok nggak ngaji?” Tanya Valda.
“Tadi di jam tahfiz kan sudah mengaji?” jawab saya. “Tapi, untuk mengaji yang seperti biasa, BAQ, belum dimulai, Valda. Mungkin besok,” lanjut saya.
Ketika itu, jawaban saya datar-datar saja. Pertanyaan Valda saya anggap basa-basi belaka. Kini pertanyaan itu mengusik pikiran saya. Saya menduga kuat, Valda pada saat itu bermaksud menggugat.
Tahun lalu, ketika Valda masih kelas 1, setiap hari ada pelajaran BAQ. Anak-anak belajar membaca Al-Qur’an, diasuh ustaz/ustazah. Di awal kelas 2 ini, Valda kehilangan kebiasaan baik itu.
Usai Zuhur dan tadarus, Kepala Sekolah menemui kami, guru-guru pengampu MPLS kelas 2. Seperti biasa, Pak Kambali mengajak kami berefleksi. Ustazah Layla menyampaikan, beberapa anak menanyakan salat Duha yang belum dilaksanakan.
Saya tidak tahu, apa alasan Sekolah tidak mengagendakan salat Duha dan mengaji dalam MPLS kelas 2. Ironis, MPLS yang semestinya menguatkan pembiasaan budaya sekolah, justru menghilangkan pembiasaan positif yang sudah terbina.
Ups, saya termakan gugatan Valda.
Ada hikmah di balik peniadaan jadwal salat Duha dan mengaji dalam MPLS. Kami jadi bisa mengukur seberapa kuat pembiasaan di Sekolah membentuk kebiasaan anak-anak. Pertanyaan bernada protes yang dilayangkan Valda dan kawan-kawan adalah jawabannya. Pembiasaan selama hampir satu tahun menjadikan anak-anak belia itu ketagihan. Telanjur istikamah, kehilangannya bikin resah.
Entah sengaja atau kebetulan, SDIH 02 telah melakukan test case yang berujung manis.
